Flame Retarding (Oxygen Isolation Layer) Power Cable
Product Standard:
The product 0.6/1kV~26/35kV plastic insulated power cable is strictly manufactured following the GB/T12706-2002 “Rated Voltage 1kV—35kV Extrusion-Enveloped Solid Insulation Power Cable”, GB18380-2001 “Combustion Test for Bunched Wire & Cable”, GB/T17650-1998 “Test Method for Released Gas from Cable or Optical Fiber Cable When Materials Being Burning” and GB/T17651-1998 “Determination of Smoke Density of Burning Cable or Optical Fiber Cable Under Specified Conditions” and in the same time, the product also can be manufactured following the standards of IEC, BS, DN and USA Standard recommended by the International Electro-Technical Commission according to the requirements of customers.
Applicable Scope:
The product is suitable to be used for power distribution and supply of electric transmission line with power frequency rated voltage 0.6/1kV~26/35kV.
Service Features:
Power frequency rated voltage is 0.6/1kV~26/35kV.
Temperature 70 0 C is the allowable long-term highest working temperature of PVC insulated cable conductor and 90 0 C for XLPE insulated cable conductor; when short circuit occurs (the longest sustained time not over 5S), the highest temperature of cable conduct can't be above 250 0 C.
The ambient temperature of cable can't be below 0 0 C when it is being laid.
The flame retarding performance of cable can satisfy the index requirements specified in the Standard of GB18380.3-2001.
Cable with low-halogen should conform to the index requirements specified in the Standard of GB/T17650.2-1998 and GB/T17651-1998 except for GB18380.3-2001.
Cable with halogen-free and low-fume should conform to the index requirements specified in the Standard of GB/T17650.2-1998 and GB/T17651-1998 except for GB18380.3-2001.
The bending radius of cable: 3-core cable not smaller than 15-fold of external diameter of cable; single-core cable not smaller than 20-fold of external diameter of cable.
Selection of Rated Voltage of Cable:
If the rated voltage of cable is appropriate for the operation-state of cable-linking system, “U 0 /U (U m )” are indicated, all of them are effective values with application unit “kV”.
U 0 – rated power frequency voltage between ground cable conductor and metal screening material;
U- rated power frequency voltage between conductors of cable;
U m - the biggest value of the highest system-voltage of working cable.

Category-I------used for single-phase ground connection, and the fault time of system is not over 1min each time and the longest one not over 8 hours, the total fault occurring hours of the system not over 125 hours every year.
Category-II------used for the system with longer time of ground connection fault and also adopted for the places required for relative high insulation performance of cable.
